Faces don’t have to be scary—and people don’t have to look like cartoons. 😉
In this two-week workshop, I'll break down how to paint people in a way that actually makes sense and feels doable, even if you’ve avoided them forever.

This class is all about simplifying features, understanding proportions, and learning what really matters when painting people in watercolor. We’ll focus on faces and upper body, working step-by-step so you gain confidence instead of frustration.

Week One:
We’ll start with the foundations—proportions, facial structure, and placement. You’ll learn how to map out a face, avoid common mistakes, and create a strong base that looks human (not haunted 👀).

Week Two:
We’ll build on that foundation by adding personality and refinement—eyes, noses, mouths, hair, and subtle shading that brings your subject to life without overworking it.

This workshop is perfect if you:

  • Feel intimidated by faces or people

  • Want your figures to look more realistic (but still painterly)

  • Are tired of “almost right” proportions

  • Want clear guidance in a supportive, judgment-free space

All levels welcome—no perfection required. I go at your pace, offer individual help, and show you how to fix things when they go sideways (because they will… and that’s normal).

You’ll walk away with:

  • A repeatable process for painting people

  • More confidence approaching faces

  • Tools you can apply to portraits, figures, and even pets

✨ All supplies provided. Just bring yourself and a willingness to try.
